The story of Ruth’s Hospitality Group, Inc. began in 1965 when single-mother Ruth Fertel purchased Chris Steak House to provide a better life for her family. With her love for people, pride in her community and her knack for creating memorable moments, Ruth redefined the steak house category. Today we operate Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants around the world while staying true to our founder’s values and our New Orleans roots.

Our franchisee program is a point of differentiation that enables system growth without additional company capital.
