Environmental

Reducing Our Environmental Footprint

Reducing Our Environmental Footprint

We have implemented several initiatives to help reduce our impact on the planet and our five year plan will expand upon those.

Ethical Food Sourcing

Ethical Food Sourcing

We have strict standards for our suppliers. All of our meat and poultry suppliers must have a welfare/humane treatment certification, and our seafood suppliers must follow labor laws and adhere to best practices.

Green Buildings

Green Buildings

We have put a green initiative in place for all new construction and building operations at our restaurants. To reduce our energy consumption at the restaurants, we have installed LED lights, automatic sensors on key equipment and control systems on the lighting and HVAC systems.

Social

Taking Care of Our People

Taking Care of Our People

Our social initiatives are focused on taking care of Our People. This approach is codified in The Sizzle – our guiding standards that describe the quality of the personal relationships we have with all Our People – Guests, Team Members, Franchise Owners, Vendor Partners, Community & Investors

Comprehensive Benefits Packages

Comprehensive Benefits Packages

One way that we take care of our team is by offering competitive benefits to Team Members. Hourly Team Members that work 23 hours or more per week are eligible for health insurance and vacation benefits after one year of service. They will also receive company-paid life insurance.

Diverse Workforce

Diverse Workforce

Our diverse team reflects our commitment to retaining and developing a workforce that reflects the communities in which we live and work. At our company, 59% of our Team Members are racially or ethnically diverse and 33% identify as women. Women also make up 63% of our Board of Directors.

RUTH’s Fund

RUTH’s Fund

After the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, we started RUTH’s Fund (Rising Up To Help) to support Team Members facing hardships. It is supported mainly by Home Office and Field Team Member contributions. The Fund paid out over $645,000 to Team Members in 2020 alone.

Governance

Governing with Integrity
